Festive nails!

As I am on a slight budget this year (commuting ruining my life as per) I have decided to makeshift my festive nails rather than getting then done professionally after a few (failed) attempts at nail art, I decided nail wraps might be the beat option. So I bought these candy came beauties off eBay for a lovely price of £3.

So I started by filing my nails down to a good length, and went from there.

You then need to pick the right sized nail wrap for your fingers. They are pretty large but as I found they are nice an easy to cut. I have never met anyone with nails a large as they come on these things, never understood why they don't make them smaller! I'll be sticking to child sizes from now on.

Once the nail sticker has been removed from the backing plastic, the wrap is pressed down onto the nail. Then get a hair dryer and give your nail a quick blast. I do genuinely mean a quick blast- I have experienced a little by of pain while doing this!!! Once the nail is secured, file away the excess length and this is the result you get:

Not too bad if I do say so myself! After the first nail, all that's left to do is stick, heat, file, repeat. Until you get a result similar to this:

I think this is ok as a first attempt! Having said this I reckon they would probably look better on a longer or possibly even an acrylic nail.

This is my first step into festively beautifying myself! Any suggestions for anything I could do next?

Itsssss Christmassss

Christmas time is upon us and I could not be happier! My absolute favourite time of the year. We've been getting super festive at work although I'm missing out on Disney Xmas party tonight due to being a poorly mouse. :(

So I only have 2 more days left at work before I have a full 12 day break. So excited it's unreal. In that 12 days I have so much to look forward to! Of course there's Xmas itself which will as always be a wonderful day. Then I have NYE which I have promised myself will actually be good this year!! ( no drink spikings, no tonsillitis etc) going to shoreditch to see duke dumont and will heard which will be amazing. Then I'm going to the ballet with ma, and of course plenty of relaxing and catching up with friends :) next week I'm going to do some posts about some bits and pieces I've been making, cushion covers, candle holders and snowman cookies to start!

Hope everyone has a fabulous time this season! Xxxx

Holi!

Holi one festival!!!! Literally one of the best days of my life. So much fun! So much cider! So much colour! I loved it. I will absolutely be attending one next year too, even though it did stain my skin for a good week after! Fun explaining that one to the office 👍

Bestival

So me and Ellie from work decided on a whim to go to bestival! What a whim that was! It was incredible, I almost bought next years ticket already! My favourite act was hundred percent FatBoy Slim, I was not expecting to love him so muh but he was incredible and we raved the whole time. Bastille were also amazing, and we think we fell in love with them all a little bit! All that drum banging!!! It was a crazy experience with such a brilliant vibe, I would live there if I could. Our sailor fancy dress went down a treat with many compliments... Whether they were real or the slurred words of drunk passers by is unknown.... I like to think real! Only downside is that whilst I was in the spirit of thing I signed up for a water charity.... Who literally call me 3 times a day every day! Oh Bestival you beaut!

Summer is over

So one of my last blog posts was about how summer was starting and how I couldn't wait for the sun! Well that has well and truley passed! I would say we are now in full swing of winter, it's certainly dark enough! Because of this bloody commute I don't actually get home till about half 7 which by now is dark as the night! Makes me feel like I'm working night shifts! I do love the winter though, and winter fashion is far more up my street than summer! Biscuits and celebrations galore mean my waistline tends to increase rather, not that I'm complaining..... That's what excess layering of clothes is for!! At the moment I'm crushing over Urban Outfitters collections. I'm thinking opaque tights, white Peter Pan collared shirt and a deep coloured floral play suit. Leather jacket for evening, and a huge parka for the day! I need to go shopping!!! I really do promise to write on this a bit more. I have enough time and I enjoy doing it when I do!

Ps right now I'm sitting next to the most handsome man. Lets hope e doesn't peer at my screen!

Sorry!

RSo once again I have been neglecting my blog! No change there!
So I can well and truley say I am completely settled into work at Disney now. I've been there 4 months can you believe! I really can't even tell where the time has gone. It has been a mixture of highs an lows I must say. There are the obvious highs.... It's Disney! I've seen some wonderful things, it's just a shame that as an intern it is very limiting of what you get to actually be a part of. The people are what make the job. I have met some of te nicer people I have evmet in my life working there. The social side is incredible too. Not only re there over 100 interns starting at the same time, the majority are such fun (such fun!) and friends I will keep for a long time! Saying all this, life as a commuter is slowing killing me! Not only am I currently on train for 4 hours every day, but the people don't half make it challenging! I hate to say it as a southerner, but the north is just a friendlier place to be!! I miss Trent so much! I'm just so happy to know that I have another year back there after this! Only 8 months left! I can do it!!! Right I think I should blog about some of the fun I've had this summer(lots!!!)so sorry if it doesn't really follow an order! Xxxx

One direction!!

Oh how could I forget blogging about going to see One Direction!' It was a birthday present for my friend Amy's birthday, she took me and oh my what an evening!! We decided to just be geeks for the evening and forget anyone around us. It was so much fun... Even though they are about 4 years my junior, it doesn't stop us from screaming like 14 year old girls!

Essex roots

I can never escape my Essex ways! I resisted French tips....I'll add the glitter myself!

Update!

Bit of a pointless updating post, but haven't done it for a while so thought I had better! Really it's just an excuse to try out the blogger app on my new iPhone!! Unfortunately (?) my blackberry broke and so did our 4 year relationship! It was time to move to an iPhone which I'm loving!!! Basically I'm only at Uni for another month before moving home to start my placement year' so crazy it's gone so so fast!!! I am really looking forward to it, and am looking forward to meeting some new people and a bit of a change! Today I'm planning on the dying my converse so i it goes well I will be posting about that any time now!!!
Random picture but this is pretty much what's getting me through all the Uni work I have!!!
Lots of love x

FLORENCE

So over the weekend i was lucky enough to go to Florence and to see the Trade Show Pitti Imagine Fillati.
I had an AMAZING time! Florence is literally one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen before in my life, and Pitti was amazing too (tonnes of free food too= BONUS)

So interesting to see a trade show, and explore how buyers look around to see about purchasing.
