Vivienne Westwood Red Label SS13

Day 3 of LFW saw Vivienne Westwood present her Red Label SS13 collection. The designer came out dressed in a 'Climate Revolution' t-shirt. The collection saw models with various shades of pastel painted to their faces, with a thick black eyeliner. I love VW and so any collection of hers, I am likely to adore, but this range is just beautiful, from the colours, to the textures and shapes, it makes for a wonderful range, of which many elements i can see being translated into the highstreet.

I love the elegance in this collection, some on the silks and satins which have been used, just ooze luxury, but as always, each garment will have a piece of signature VW quirkiness about them!

Sister by Sibling

All my posts for the time being are going to be about London Fashion Week, i want to explore some of the less well known designers, as some of their work can be the most interesting and innovative to look at. Yesterday showed Sister by Sibling, a creative collection, which is extremely unusual but has some incredible features and really amazing to look at. The faces of the models were covered in a lot of the outfits, and huge headwear was also a feature. Pastel colours were the main colour range, suggesting that these colours are here to stay for next year too! Netting was used a lot and the texture gave a new dimension to the outfits.

Henry Holland BUZZ KILL SS13

While I was in the the Vauxhall Fashion Scout shows, across the road Henry Holland was debuting his SS13 collection. With bright shades, and more subdued purples being used, clear themes were seen throughout. It is clear that dip dyes and dipped hems are still going to be making an appearance next year. Henry Holland manages to get effortless quirky style into all his collections, i have picked out my favourite from the collection shown last night.

London Fashion Week, PICS

Just a few of the snaps i took at yesterdays events! This little glimpse into the fashion world has secured the fact i know i want to be in this industry!

London Fashion Week

Last night i was lucky enough to get the opportunity to go and see 2 shows at London Fashion Week. The online Fashion and Trend website The Look Hit which i write for, gave me 2 shows to attend, and subsequently write about. I saw MATH and Raffaele Ascoine.
I had actually never heard of either of these designers before I was asked to go, but what I saw, I loved!
Math was my favourite out of the two, with clean cut geometric shapes, and bright neon stripes of material to break up the colour blocks. It was an exciting collection and the atmosphere was electric. A neutral tone was used as a base for the majority of the garments, which was a bold choice because that colour could be considered quite bland, but the way in which the neon stripes were incorporated made the collection mcuh more fun and exciting. The hair and makeup was very clean cut and precise which I really liked because it complimented the simple and elegant nature of the whole collection. The makeup was minimal with defined eyebrows and an orange lip, which was a detail complimenting the orange stripe featured in most of the collection. Hair was kept swept off the face and straight.

The other show i saw was Raffaele Ascoine. This collection was very different to Math, with the clothes having a far more feminine and elegant feel to them. The main colour scheme which was used were pastel pinks, blues and corals, and then to make an interesting contrast, a few black outfits were thrown in. Oversized sequins were also a major feature. I am definately keen to see what this designer has to offer in the future!.

This was my opinion on the 2 shows i got to experience, My photos and review of the day to follow.....(Big day of shopping ahead, im afraid blogging will have to wait a few hours!) x
