Blog related....

Also, I was extremely pleased to see the views on my blog increasing even while i was away, to those who do read my blog, Thank you! Ill give you a little life update......

Having returned from such a lovely holiday, I was on a bit of a low....which got lower when i got such horrendous food poisoning (plus point according to mother 'At least you will get thin!') Brilliant! When it finally cleared, and yes, feeling thinner than usual, i went out in London with my friend as she has recently started working there. Starting off in Carnaby Street at a beach themed bar, we enjoyed Strawberry and Raspberry cocktails. The barman even let me shake mine myself....discount for labour!? We then continued to Covent Garden where we enjoyed even more cocktails! Continuing my streak of bad luck, i ended the night by slipping on a drink and spraining my wrist. Not ideal!

Next plans i have are getting ready for 2nd Year of Uni and i could not be more excited! Ive got literally everything bar the kitchen sink to take with me. Having a room which i can do more with this year i have been looking into ways in which i would like it to look and have some ideas i would like to incorporate.

My Dad is CONVINCED I need a map of the world in my room, due to my intense lack of geographical knowledge. To be fair, it can't do me any harm, and it does look quite quirky!

Ill show you what it looks like when i move in! x

Holiday inspired

Holiday was gorgeous! It was absolutely beautiful and the weather was perfect! Whilst walking along the stunning beaches there were many stalls selling string bracelets and amazing little rings and necklaces.
I love this type of style as you can wear more items than you would with say ordinary jewelry. Another item i was loving were hair braids! Ive not had a hair braid since i was about 6, and decided to get one this year. At 10 Euros, it wasn't the cheapest, but this inspired me to learn how to do them myself, and am currently sporting a head full of brightly coloured beads and threads!

Summer Hol time!

Im buzzing, this afternoon me and my gorgeous friend Amy, are going to Spain! 2 weeks of sun, sea, cocktails, tanning, books(Holiday unfortunately being one of the only times i actually read) and some good giggles.
Because the weather sets to be hot hot hot, my suitcase is rammed with shorts, sundresses and bikinis. As well as them i plan to rep some cool nail art; I have been practicing and my fav so far is to have light blue nails with a cloud and sun print on them. Ive done this by applying a light blue base, and then using a Models Own white nail art pen, carefully adding a cloud print.
So excited.....Typical though, the sun has just shown himself!

SISTER JANE

I adore Sister Jane!
I first came across the brand Sister Jane when stalking clothes websites for hours one rainy day! I love the incorporation of leather into the dresses/blouses. The way in which it is used on sweet peter pan collars, hardens up the image and the contrast is wonderful. The idea of something very girly and pretty but with a more grungy or hardening twist on it, is something i do myself and it epitomizes my own personal style. The collection on Topshop currently has a fantastic range and i especially like the 'Sky Collar Dress':
If anyone's offering??

Having looked through their website, the 'Silver Spells' Collection looks beautiful. Again with added leather collars, there is a huge appearance of glitter which can make any outfit, however dull, instantly fabulous, and can make you feel instantly in a party mood. I have many interviews coming up for my Fashion and Textile year in industry, and will be absolutely buying one (or ten!?) of these items for that and also for parties, events and just looking pretty in my wardrobe!

How cool is the editing on these images?

I miss winter clothes!

I may be one of the few people out there who is actually willing the summer away...! Don't get me wrong, i love the sun....on holiday, but our English summer is somewhat of a dilemma. On holiday i am perfectly happy to prance around in teeny shorts, and a barely there top, exposing all my pale and interesting flesh! But somehow in Britain, i am much more conservative with summer clothes. Possibly because living in Essex, (where the native colour is orange) I can feel rather ghoulish, and its tempting to cover up. With maxi skirts being a staple item on the high street now, I can cover up a bit more in the summer but still look stylish. I think ASOS do a great broad range of them. However, I love being pale! It suits me, and it makes me look incredibly British,( I don't really tan...more of a pink tinge) This is why I miss winter clothes, coats and boots and scarves! Also with the added bonus of wearing tights in winter, the length of skirts and shorts can decrease hugely, without looking trashy! Win!
I have already started planning my winter wardrobe, and as i bought a rather expensive burgundy fur coat last winter, I am planning on basing the colours around this so i can wear it again.
Knits.

Leather skirts/shorts

Black boots

As im writing this however, the sky is grey, rain is pouring, and I am wearing my slippers. Not quite sure what 'summer' I am referring too!

Also I love Christmas, and am literally counting the days.
