Festive nails!

As I am on a slight budget this year (commuting ruining my life as per) I have decided to makeshift my festive nails rather than getting then done professionally after a few (failed) attempts at nail art, I decided nail wraps might be the beat option. So I bought these candy came beauties off eBay for a lovely price of £3.

So I started by filing my nails down to a good length, and went from there.

You then need to pick the right sized nail wrap for your fingers. They are pretty large but as I found they are nice an easy to cut. I have never met anyone with nails a large as they come on these things, never understood why they don't make them smaller! I'll be sticking to child sizes from now on.

Once the nail sticker has been removed from the backing plastic, the wrap is pressed down onto the nail. Then get a hair dryer and give your nail a quick blast. I do genuinely mean a quick blast- I have experienced a little by of pain while doing this!!! Once the nail is secured, file away the excess length and this is the result you get:

Not too bad if I do say so myself! After the first nail, all that's left to do is stick, heat, file, repeat. Until you get a result similar to this:

I think this is ok as a first attempt! Having said this I reckon they would probably look better on a longer or possibly even an acrylic nail.

This is my first step into festively beautifying myself! Any suggestions for anything I could do next?

Xxx
